Dr Rob Callaway

BVMS BSc - Veterinarian

Destined to be a Veterinary Doctor, Dr Callaway was drawn to the vocation at the age of 4. At this very young age telling his parents he wanted to be a vet because wanted to help animals. Pure and simple!

Dr Callaway graduated from Murdoch University 1993 and worked in the UK as a Locum for 2 years from 1996-1998 taking the opportunity to travel through Africa and Europe during that time.

DDr Callaway has been practicing for 26 years, joining Tasmanian Veterinary Hospitals in 1998 and becoming a partner in 2003.

Dr Callaway is our Hospital Director at Sorell, and enjoys working with his amazing team of nurses and has built amazing relationships with customers far and wide.

Dr Callaway has 2 lively children, a lovely and patient wife(!) 2 dogs (pictured here with Zak and Elkie) and 2 cats.

He is an out doorsy type and enjoys fishing, touch footy, gardening bush walking and wildlife photography. He thinks Music is proof that magic exists in the world.

Dr Callaway is passionate about canine and feline Veterinary medicine “the most interesting roller coaster ride of a job in the world, where you get to help both animals and people”

Dr. Raffy Eisiana

DVM - Veterinarian

Dr Raffy grew up in Tasmania on a small vineyard that also hosted an array of wildlife, some of which needed a helping hand from time to time. Raffy always enjoyed these interactions with wildlife as well as her own family pets, however it wasn’t until after she finished high school and volunteered overseas at animal recuse centres that she absolutely knew she wanted to be a veterinarian.

After returning from her holiday and volunteer work Raffy moved to Adelaide to become a vet. After graduating with her veterinary degree from the University of Adelaide she moved back to her favourite city (Hobart) to continue her journey of caring for and helping animals in need.

Raffy loves helping and watching people’s connections grow with their furry companions. She loves working in a field with great diversity and being able to both consult and perform surgery in the same day. Raffy is passionate about providing the best care possible to animals and their owners, ensuring communication is clear and everyone feels positive at the end of a consult.

When she is away from work she likes to spend her time chasing her kelpie Pippin around the beach and dabbles in rock climbing and pottery.

Dr Audrey Sokolowski

BVSc (Hons) GCertSAECC - Veterinarian

Audrey knew she wanted to be a vet ever since a visit with her cat to the local vet when she was six years old. Audrey has a passion for enhancing the human animal bond and for creating an enjoyable, stress-free veterinary experience for every one of her patients. She has a passion for animal behaviour and has studied extensively in this field.

Our team are excited Audrey has joined us and for the skills and knowledge she brings. Audrey has a tribe of pets at home… Coco the Schmoodle, Henley the Cavalier, Rogue the DSH cat and Dusty the Border Collie. Audrey can’t wait to meet you and your pet family.

Dr Scott Linnane

BVSc (Hons I) GCert (SAUA) - Veterinarian

Dr Scott grew up in south-east Queensland and graduated in 2005 from the University of Queensland. He moved straight to Hobart after graduation and loves living in Tasmania.

Scott has worked in several clinics around Hobart and joined the TVH family in July 2024. He loves being a vet and has a special interest in ultrasound, dentistry and behaviour.

Outside of work, Scott loves gardening, playing hockey and multi-day hikes. He lives with his partner and their 2 whippets, Morris and Winston.

Dr Parris Rawson

BVSC - Veterinarian

Originally from Nottingham, England, I grew up surrounded by gentle giants — Great Danes, Leonbergers, German Shepherds, and St Bernards — which sparked my lifelong love of animals. Inspired further by my sister’s work as a veterinary nurse specialising in ophthalmology, I pursued a career in veterinary medicine and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science from the University of Liverpool in 2021.

I spent two years working in charity practice in England before setting off on a year-long adventure travelling around Australia in a purple van. After exploring the country, I settled in Tasmania in January 2025 and joined TVH.

Professionally, I have a strong interest in ultrasound, emergency and critical care cases, and surgery. Outside of work, I enjoy making the most of Tasmania’s outdoors with my partner — surfing, diving, hiking, and climbing whenever we can.

Nicole Green

Practice Manager

Nicole joined the team in 2013, Starting out as a junior veterinary nurse at our Sorell Hospital. Nicole has since completed her certificate 4 in veterinary nursing and is now our head nurse at our Kingston Hospital.

Nicole has always had a love of animals and a passion for medicine, the role of a veterinary nurse allows her to bring both aspects of what she loves and enjoys together.

Making a difference in an animal’s life for the better and working with such an amazing dedicated team who provide an exceptional level of patient care Nicole says makes all the difference and is one of the reasons she loves her position as a veterinary nurse at TAH. Every day throws us new challenges, but Nicole wouldn’t have it any other way.

In Nicole’s spare time she enjoys working with horses and spending time with her partner working on their property. Nicole enjoys the active/hectic life of living on the land and a lot of her spare time is taken up with this between the horses, chickens, sheep and up keep of the farm itself. But of course, she always has her trusty sidekick Mervyn (4-year-old kelpie x koolie) by her side.

Rachel Wotherspoon

Nurse

Rachel moved from Melbourne with her partner Mary to live in Hobart and joined the team in September 2022.

Rachel absolutely loves veterinary nursing, it has introduced her to the best kind of people.

She loves getting to see the connection between owner and pet. Rachel has a special interest in rabbits, and worked at a rabbit clinic for 4 years before moving to general practice for the last few years.

In Rachel’s leisure time, she likes to roller skate, do puzzles and take photos of whatever bugs she can find. 

Monique Spaulding

Nurse

Monique joined the TVH team at Sorell In July 2023.  Monique has two dogs, Nova and Lani, one cat, Meeko, and 5 chickens along with two daughters who keep her very busy when she is not at work!

Monique previously worked as a wildlife keeper for 12 years, but has been enjoying her change in career working with domestic animals and joining the world of vet nursing! Monique loves wildlife, in particular birds, and has raised swans, tawny frogmouths and bandicoots.

Monique, her husband and children live on an 18 acre bush block, where she loves discovering which species reside with them.  In her spare time she loves to get out bushwalking.

Rebecca Thorogood

Nurse

Rebecca join the TVH team in December 2024 and has been nursing since 2022.

Bec is originally from Queensland and moved to Tassie in November 2024, and she Is loving the cooler temperatures and Tassies glorious beauty.

Bec has loved animals for as long as she can remember and feels so grateful that she gets to care for them every day as a veterinary nurse. Bec finds one of the most rewarding parts of her role is being able to advocate for her patients, especially senior pets who need that little bit of extra support, comfort, and compassion. Bec loves being part of a team that not only helps improve the health and wellbeing of animals but also supports their families through every stage of life.

Bec has a house full or fur children, 2 dogs and 2 cats who she loves spending time with, along with her goldfish.

Miguel Yarce

Nurse

Miguel’s passion for animal welfare began at a young age. Growing up in Medellín, Colombia, he was captivated by the adventures of Steve Irwin, whose energy and love for wildlife inspired Miguel to pursue a life dedicated to animals. With the support of his parents, Miguel immigrated to Australia to follow that dream and turn his passion into a lifelong career.

Now, with over six years of experience in wildlife care and rehabilitation, he is excited to embark on a new chapter as part of the TVH team. He holds degrees in Zoology, Geography and Environmental sciences and is furthering his expertise by completing a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.

Outside of work, Miguel cherishes time with his bright and bubbly puppy, Teo (pictured), his three affectionate cats, and his loving partner, Alexandra. Together, they share a deep commitment to caring for animals and the environment. They love gathering with friends for relaxed barbecues and setting out on road trips with family.

Olivia Martyn

Trainee Nurse

Liv joined the TVH team at Sorell in April 2025. 

Liv was previously working in wildlife keeping and rehabilitation for 5 years in Tasmania and recently returned from work in Queensland. Liv loves wildlife and is continuing as a wildlife carer while working at TVH, caring for Possums and Birds at home.

After achieving Certificate II in Animal Studies, Liv is looking forward to studying her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing. Liv is very interested in the behaviour of animals and the different diagnostics that go into treating patients.

Outside of work, Liv lives by the beach with her partner and her beautiful border collie Billie (pictured). She loves anything to do with the ocean and spends lots of her spare time with family and friends.

Kellie Spicer

Client Services

Kellie commenced at our Sorell TVH practice in October 2022.

Kellie has always loved being around animals and is delighted that puppy cuddles are now included in her daily work tasks! Kellie is our resident chicken-wrangler and pet-mum to a flock of mixed breed hens and wayward rooster.

Kellie was a medical sonographer in a previous life and has a range of experience in retail management, agri-business and artisan markets.  Kellie loves spending time in the garden growing food and in nature, and has a deep appreciation for the environment and our beautiful state.

Kellie thoroughly enjoys being part of the TVH team and greeting all our lovely clients on arrival.
